COS members joined the physician community at Orthopedic Associates of Hartford’s Surgery Center to meet with Representative John Larson at a fundraising event on August 24, 2022, in Rocky Hill, CT.

COS members thanked him for supporting the AAOS-endorsed, Improving Senior’s Timely Access to Care Act which would streamline the prior authorization process for Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plan insured. The bill recently passed the House Ways & Means Committee.

In addition, members expressed their appreciation for the support Rep. Larson gave in signing onto last year’s letter to Congressional leadership asking them to avert the Medicare cuts at the time.

The AAOS PAC made a contribution to Rep. Larson’s campaign recognizing his support for important health care legislation in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Pietro Memmo (left) and Dr. Andrew Caputo (center) provided Rep. John Larson (right) with a tour of the facility during the event.
